Welcome to ChargeAbout. By purchasing from us or using our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.


General

 

These Terms & Conditions apply to all sales of e-bikes, accessories, and related products from eBike Studio and ChargeAbout NZ Ltd, whether purchased in-store or online. By placing an order, you accept these terms in full.


Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.
  • Payment must be received in full before goods are dispatched or collected, unless otherwise agreed.
  • We reserve the right to adjust prices or promotions at any time.

Deposits & Pre-Orders

  • Deposits on e-bikes or special orders are non-refundable in the case of cancellation or change of mind.
  • Deposits will only be refunded if we are unable to supply the product as agreed.
  • The balance is due when the product arrives or is ready for collection.
  • Timing of pre-orders can be subject to change. Often delivery is down to maufacturing dates and ocean shipping – delays can occur and we will do our best to inform our customers as such. We appreciate patience in this process and customer satisfaction is our first priority – please discuss with us if your pre-order is not meeting your expected or previously communciated timeline.

Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA)

  • All products are covered by the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA).
  • You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product is faulty, unsafe, not as described, or does not perform as expected.
  • These rights cannot be excluded and apply in addition to any manufacturer warranty.

Manufacturer Warranties

  • Many products come with a manufacturer warranty that offers additional protection.
  • These warranties typically cover defects in materials and workmanship for a set time.
  • The CGA may provide rights beyond the manufacturer warranty period.

Shipping & Delivery

  • Delivery times are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers or circumstances beyond our control.
  • Risk passes to you once goods are delivered to the address provided.

Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits or use.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the CGA.

Governing Law

 

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
